In April of 2009, the name of this department will be changed from Mechanical System Engineering to Mechanical Engineering.
"Aiming for expertise in manufacturing technology based on the mechanical system approach"
“Aiming for expertise in manufacturing technology based on the mechanical system approach”
Technological innovation is essential in resolving issues related
to the quality of our lives, including problems concerning the
environment, energy and social welfare. The department of Mechanical
Systems Engineering supplies the knowledge base necessary to create
tools and machinery essential for these technological innovations.
Our goal is to educate students and prepare them for work in a
wide range of engineering fields, such as the production of automobiles,
factories, electrical appliances, robots, medical and aerospace
equipment.
“A practical curriculum focusing on manufacturing technology”
Our general engineering subjects provide a solid foundations
in manufacturing, fabrication and machinery design, and students
are encouraged to explore a variety of fields. Lectures are reinforced
with practical training in such areas as computer-assisted design
and students receive practical experience based on knowledge acquired
in their lectures. Our goal is to educate well-rounded students
with a solid and omprehensive background in technologies ranging
from mechanical design to production control.
